As a person of diverse background (Russian and Ukrainian mix, American, gay photo artist, scientist, healer and mystic), Dmitriy’s message is quite complex to deliver and visual art is a perfect platform to express it. As a mystic, Dmitriy Gushchin’s inspiration comes from his dreams, where creativity of sub consciousness is the key. Lucid dreaming is his realm, where Dmitriy connected to himself the most. There are no rules in there, so the artist can truly be HIMSELF. Dreams, even nightmares, are a powerful source of energy, inspiration, healing, personal liberation and the best opportunity for self-connection. Dmitriy hope that his viewers can relate and cherish that as much as he does.
